Michela Depetris (she/her)_lives in Turin

She studied visual arts and contemporary dance in Italy and Spain. Accademia Albertina delle Belle Arti, Torino/Universidad Politecnica de Bellas Artes, Valencia/Master in Performing Arts and Visual Culture, Reina Sofia Museum, Madrid.

She works with hybrid languages between dance, writing, video, sound and participatory installations, situating her research in a mixed open field in which each medium always leads to the body with an expanded vision of choreography.

She is the author of the performance WOW WIDE WEB (2024) created with the support of Residenze Coreografiche Piemonte dal Vivo de Lavanderia a Vapore (Collegno), Base (Milano), SPAM Centro per le arti contemporanee (Lucca) and L’Estruch Fàbrica de Creació de les Arts en Viu (Sabadell).

As a performer she works for Calderoni/Caleo, Ari B. Meyers, Derek Di Fabio, Cinthia Marcelle and Maria Folguera.
